Why Visit a Boat Show?
Most boaters visit a local show on their off season. For years I have attended The Boston Boat Show where I have learned of the many new and improved products available. The lists are long and include new boat models from the various manufacturers, electronics, navigation and safety gear, trailers, engines, etc. Where else can you go and in just a few hours compare products and get valuable information on the equipment specific to your needs under one roof?
In addition to the above, here are more reasons I attend at least one boat show a year:

Boat Show Financing - Never, Ever Use It
When buying a boat, used or new, cash is always better than financing. You can save money with cash, as there are no finance charges. Financing charges can get high, very high in fact if you don’t know a lot about it.

Boat shows have become very popular ways for boat manufacturers to showcase their products and for consumers to research, dream about and perhaps even purchase a boat. There are as many different kinds of boat shows as there are boats with shows specializing in luxury yachts, wooden boats, power boats, sailboats and more. However, the largest shows are more general with exhibits and information on all different kinds of watercraft.
Boat shows can take place inside large convention centers or at outdoor venues like marinas. For example, the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat show takes place at six different marinas throughout the city. By contrast, the largest boat show in Baltimore takes place inside the convention center.
